Plain terms for using Sahtain. By using the app you agree to them.
What Sahtain is
A food diary. It records what you tell it you ate and estimates the energy and macronutrients from published food composition data. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing it shows is medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your health, particularly if you are pregnant, managing a condition, or under a doctor’s care.
Figures are estimates
Calorie and macronutrient figures are estimates drawn from published tables and from reading a photograph. They are presented as ranges because that is what the underlying data supports. Do not rely on them where a single definitive figure matters.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it. One person, one account.
Subscriptions
Sahtain Plus is sold through the App Store and Google Play, which bill you and handle renewals and refunds under their own terms. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and you cancel it in the store, not with us. The free trial converts to a paid period unless you cancel before it ends.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, and do not use it to build a competing dataset. We may suspend an account that does.
Ending it
You can stop using Sahtain and delete your account at any time. We may end an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on its figures. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
